I know this is probably a stupid question but i wanna know if i got a degree in computer engineering if i could break into the game industry as a game programmer. I like playing games like most of u and i would like to create them also profesionally. but i also like the hardware that runs the games and i wanna know if i got a computer engineering degree if they would hire me for game programming or something else in the game industry.

Your degree is perfectly fine. If you look at most game industry job postings that require a degree, they not only accept Computer Science and Engineering, but also Math and Physics. And as far as I know, there is little to no programming involved for a Physics or Math degree.

What's more important is the skillset and experience you bring to the table. If you feel you know a programming language(s) and know programming concepts, then get on over to the Help Wanted section, join a project, and get some sweet games in your portfolio.
