Book Suggestion - C++

Hi, Just started Uni and been given a book list was wondering if anyone has any pro's/con's on the suggested titles we have been given. Savitch W, Problem Solving with C++, 5th Ed, Addison Wesley, 2005 Deitel H.M and Deitel P.J, Small C++, how to Program, Prentice Hall, 2005 Hortsmann C, Budd T, Big C++, Wiley, 2005 Malik D.S, C++ Programming, 2nd Ed, Thomson, 2004 Adams J, Nyhoff L, C++ An Introduction to Computing, Prentice Hall, 2003 Reference Stroustroup B, The C++ Programming Language, Addison Wesley, 2000 Cheers Malal

Of those titles, I would go with Deitel and Deitel. I have used their C how to program book and it was very good.

I agree completely. Too bad "C++ Primer" by Stanley Lippman isn't on that list as it is pretty much the best one, but Deitel and Deitel is next best.
