Hi all, My aim to work in the games industry, but no surprises, I’m finding it extremely difficult to break in. Please have a look at my portfolio http://www.adamrice.co.uk and let me know what you think! Don’t hold back, be brutal! I can take it! lol Any advice on a particular direction to follow, or what to do more of etc would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Adam

Im no artist so I cant really rate your work, but i do have a bit of advice for you. If you want to break into the game industry, with the exception of the level design you did with HL2, the standard pictures will only help so much. If you want to do art for a game(like in game stuff, not concept sketches and what not) you should try to join a team in the Help Wanted section for people who are looking for artists. Then work on some models, textures, etc for an actual game. That way you could go to a company and say 'here are my sketches and designs, and here is some work i did on this game and here is some levels i did for this game'.

You have to show them what you can bring to the table for their video game.
