Hey. I'm in a pickle. I am writing a space game. The scene is quite complex, however I get a good 50 fps. My scene however lacks the background parallaxing effect that the user rarely ever notices but uses to judge his speed and momentom. It dos'nt have to be parallaxing, just something that accomplishes the same goal. I would appreciate any ideas regarding simple/fast ways to acomplish this. Nothing drastic. I have thaught about point sprites but I want to stay away from it sence it can tax my frame rate. I thaught about using a Lit Vertex 3D quad as a 3D surface to render parallaxing textures but have been un successful. Thank You.
