[OpenAL] Multiple listeners for splitscreen.

Hello there! I'm making a 3d splitscreen aircraft fighting game and I'm starting to integrate OpenAL for sound. Right now, I'm just playing all sounds position-less which is not very exciting. The problem is that I don't know how to handle the multiple players. Thinking about the problem, there's a few options I seem to have - like only playing sounds for the first player, mixing the sounds for all players, or using some algorithm to decide which 'instance' of the sound to play. All but the first option seem to require multiply listeners... but I'm not quite sure whether I can do that in OpenAL. Any ideas?
