Anyone use RealPlayer? Why when I take a screenshot it appears all black when I paste it? How do I go about taking a screenie without the program sabotoging it?

Try turning off Hardware Acceleration for graphics and/or the Overlay option.
The option is probably located in your Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting.

just to clarify, does this also work for software DVD players as well??
In the past I've tried to take screen shots of a movie only to see it all black, in fact it is a weird black-transparent box...

I've seen it work with Windows Media Player, too, but I've never tried it with any of the DVD programs - always worth a shot.
