stackless python?

Stackless is different from CPython in its internal implementation, which gives you the ability to use microthreads. The name comes from the fact that CPython (essentially) creates C stack frames for Python function calls, while Stackless doesn't. Microthreads aside, the two are identical from the Python programmer's point of view.

Since you're just starting Python, I wouldn't worry about Stackless. Its microthreads are potentially very attractive for game programming, but you've got enough on your plate already for now.
