Less space needed for textures thanks to new technology

This isn't quite as miraculous as it may sound. It's a middleware system for authoring procedural textures and storing them in a compact format that allows them to be re-generated at load time. It's a very neat idea, and it seems quite flexible, but it's limited to what the artists are able to do with the editor. You couldn't just take an arbitrary hand-painted bitmap and use this to compress it.

I'd be curious to hear what any artists on these forums think of it.
