[.net] Texture thumbnails in ListBox

How can I generate a thumbnail to be drawn in a listbox from a texture already loaded in memory? I use managed directx 1.1.

I've been working on this for a long time now. I still haven't been able to read any real pixeldata from the texture. The texture I've been working with is in Dxt5 format and I have no idea how to read that. Is there no universal way of getting the color of each pixel in RGB? Making the GDI Bitmap is no problem but I don't know how to fill it. I also need to stretch it. How can I do that?
