postprocessing

i want to be able to darken my scene homogenousily (nothing to do with the lightning - just decrease X from every pixel's r, g and b) when pausing the application. how do you do it? my friend said something about postprocessing but i couldnt find something helpful googling thanks

the easiest way to darken the scene would be to simply blend a black quad over it.

or you could use a pixelshader and possibly alot of other methods aswell.
