Hi all! I am working on a small Direct3D game and am desperately trying to make my geometry fade smoothly from completly invisible to completly opaque. However I cannot work out how to change the geometries transparency value. I am using the DirectX 9c SDK. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) NumberKruncher

Look up Alpha Blending.

This page has two examples at the bottom: http://www.codesampler.com/dx9src/dx9src_4.htm

Also, once you get this down, then look up Depth Peeling (by Cass Everitt of NVIDIA).
