I'm sure this question has been asked before, so, sorry in advance; I couldn't find it in Search. I want to learn a managed language (I'm pretty good with C++), and I'm trying to decide between C# and CLR C++. Is one clearly better for game programming, or have a brighter future? Or is it pretty much just a matter of personal preference? Thanks for any advice.

You don't really use C++/CLI unless you have some really compelling reason to do so. That reason is in nearly all cases interop with existing C++ codebases. (Occasionally you can do some fun things with mixed mode too.)

So choose C# unless you really need C++/CLI for some reason.
