I have a folder and subfolders of 3000+ files used for a game. For the platform, I need to write a line of code to load each indiviual file. Example <link href="sounds/badMove_1.mpg"> I have to write 1 line of code like this for each file (don't ask why, I know this sounds like a POS platform, CAUSE IT IS :) ) What general direction should i take to extract the text file name from the 3000 files, so I don't have to type out each file name. I am on XP and have access to MS Office if there is a trick using those. Thanks, Josh

Go and download Visual Basic Express from Microsoft.

Once you have it, look up on the internet about reading directories.

There will even be code examples.

Should be really easy.

You can not do it using Office. Well not that I know of.

dir /b /s >> filelist.txt

then some artful use of find and replace on filelist.txt

This time you have the right idea for sure. :)
