I am completly new to programming i am using the free version of C++ from Microsoft and would like to learn how to use this language and as well as that learn how to create a bare minimum game such as tetris which is mentioned as an examle to create on this site. I would like to know where to start to learn the nessessary information to make this game. I do not wish to go into anything i do not need to know to create game such as for example creating buisiness applications with c++ or thing along that lines. Also i would not like for you to point out an example of source code because i would like to independantly figure things out without stealing code. I believe a better ground understanding would be good to start out with before i fully step into game programming. I am trying to attend a colledge for this field of study , and would like to devote these next two years to learning a good basis of the subject. All thoughs that can help please reply!
