I am using std::stringstream which has a small memory leak, it was supposed to be fixed a while ago in some next release, but I am yet to see any releases, so I am wondering if anyone knows of a quick fix without delving into the lib source code? thx

Post code to reproduce this bug please, I've not come accross a std library mistake with Visual Studios yet. But I also don't look hard. What compiler are you using btw?

To the above AP: it is a recognized bug. Google is your friend.

To the original poster: it would seem that microsoft has fixed it "for the next version of visual studio", though what exactly that means is unclear. See http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=98861
for some info, including a possible place to fix it, perhaps? The submitter mentions line 514 in xiosbase. If you have any luck with that, let us know!

(This is the second AP)
This is a workaround. It does, unfortunately, involve mucking with the libraries.

Hope it helps.
