I'm using MySqlConnection and MySqlCommand to perform an insert on a table. However, I expect the answer to this woudld the same for Ole, Odbc, and SqlServer. After I've done the ExecuteNonQuery(), how can I tell when the update is complete? I tried telling it to wait until State==ConnectionState.Open, but it appears "Open" immediately after ExecuteNonQuery() -- however, if you do a SELECT afterwards, the updated data doesn't show yet. (But if I tell it to sleep for 5 seconds, it does show up). How can I tell when the INSERT has completed?
