HLSL NormalMap PS 1.1 - 1.4?

hi there, all the examples for normal mapping use PS 2.0 does anyone here have an example using 1.1 - 1.4 please?

Looking up samples and articles for Direct3D 8 are probably your best bet. They'll be in assembly, but given that the HLSL compiler doesn't handle SM1 targets too well (and the newer compiler won't even try) it shouldn't be a problem.

Google revealed a few interesting leads in this direction. Per-Pixel Lighting by Philip Taylor is worth reading.
