new to game developing

HI i am new to game developent and have just downloaded the Microsoft XNA Game Studio Express and all the game development tools with that. I'm using the Visual C# coding language and have learn't basic commands and all that. can someone help me and suggust or recomend any game development tools that i would need to start learning and developing games.!

You've already got all that you need! Some other things that could be helpful are The Gimp and Inkscape, both of which are drawing tools so that you can make some nice graphics. Other than that, there's 3D modeling tools, but those aren't going to be necessary for simple platformers/arcade shooters that you're starting with.
