When I turn on lighting with glEnable(GL_LIGHTING), my sound turns off. I'm using OpenAL sound. Disabling the lighting turns the sound back on. Where might the conflict be? Thanks.

That sounds very odd, something as if you had a buffer overflow of some sort. Create a simple project with just your open Al sound and test to se if lighting still affects it.

wow that is very odd, im interested in what could be causing that behavior. could you post what the problem was when you figure it out?

Well, I just added the OpenAL sounds to a very simple OpenGL program and I cannot get the sound to change with a change in lighting. So, it must be somewhere in my code and skow is probably right about a buffer overflow. I've started to break down the code and can't find it yet, but I will.

If it's more significant than a simple coding error on my part, I'll post the cause.

Thanks.
