OpenGL Indexed drawing question

Hello all, I have been scouring the forums and the web for examples of drawing indexed geometry via OpenGL. In all the examples I see they call glDrawElements() and supply a list of indices in system memory. What I want to do at the moment is store my indices in a VBO and draw from there. Is this possible and if so what draw call would I use? Thanks
