any one have an idea how to restore the display(reset)

If you are referring to the fact, that upon changing, say, resolutions, all of the device objects need to be restored? If you are, the obvious solution is to not allow users to change resolutions on the fly (witness games like Halflife, which do not allow you to change resolutions "on the fly" per se. You must exit to menu screen first.)

Otherwise, just store all of the data that is not device dependent, store all of the info that is device dependent, but has changed, change the device then try to reload all of the data. Not the worlds easiest solution . . .
