Anyone know of a good - not nessesarily a tutorial, but a guide sort of thing on moving around in a world? I''ve based the movement in my engine on the stuff in Lesson23 here on NeHe, but It''s not really that flexible, and I would like to accually understand what happens. What I''m looking for is something that later will allow me to implement basic physics like friction and gravity, all my attempts to create friction based on the Lesson23 code have misserably failed. But then again, I''m no genius on Math, unfortunately. return 1;

This has been said many times, try looking up the gluLookAt() function. It easily incorporates all transformations in a single and simplistic form, which is easy to get your head around to allow you to concentrate on more important things such as gravity etc.
