Having a problem with systems that have non-ascii paths (for example Kryllic or what not). I intend of saving savegame to the My Documents folder of the user's system however problems arise since I only use ascii paths for all save functions. Currently I am using tinyXML for creating the savefiles and all it takes is char* or FILE* as argument when saving and loading. Is there any way of getting a FILE pointer to a unicode path? Or do I have to use some other XML-lib that support unicode paths? Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at wfopen?

If it's not in stdio.h, it'll be in wchar.h

FILE * _wfopen(const wchar_t *, const wchar_t *);
