Everything is finished! got the render buffers to work, the utility classes that i need is finished! time to do the first simple test with my engine! yaaaaay! 3 secs later.. *head hits keyboard* well, im going for a simple depth of field effect. ive set up everything so i get the screen and depth buffer as a texture. both are mipmaped. how can i get a specific mipmap level in cg(or opengl) from a texture?

AFAIK, you can only reference a sampler in Cg; the GPU does mipmapping. This means you can't reference mipmaps directly.

I could be wrong, though (but I'm probably not).

but since i replace the gpu fragment program, i think it would be logical if i could get access to diffrent mipmapping levels.

i think GLSL have a command for this, but i havent found anything for cg
