i set up a scene made of a room and a light. however when adding (on runtime) a cube to the scene (glutSolidCube) i experience a weird phenomena: the lights suddenly go darker. when the cube goes out the lights go back to normal. this happens with other glut primitives as well. any idea?

Does glutSolidCube add normals?

I had the same problem, but when I coded my cube manually with glvertex and glnormals it worked fine.

Hope this help you.
