Hi, I am making a launch application for a game and need to know how see if the program is installed. If possible I would like to know: - How to get a list of programs currently installed + the path it is installed to? And if this is not possible: - How to read from the registry? I need the code in Visual Basic and I need it to work in Windows 2000/XP/Vista. I would be very thankful for any help!

Well it is possible, but I'd imagine you must work directly from the registry. That is, unless somebody has written a library for this purpose (it may be worth Googling before you waste too much time).

Before we go into detail, could you tell us which version of VB you are using? VB6 and VB.net are two very different beasts.
