Hello, Does anyone know how to read and extract from bkf files? Hopefully nothing that is Linux specific.

If you want to restore .bkf files on Vista, there's Windows NT Backup Restore Utility from Microsoft.

If you're looking for info on the file format, not sure.

I'm looking for the file format. I'm looking to make a self service file restore application so I can be even more lazy at work.

Salient Features of this application:-

>> Quickly repair severely corrupted windows backup files.
>> Effectively recovers Unicode characters as well
>> Embedded with two recovery BKF modes: Quick mode & Advance mode
>> Recovers EDB, STM and log files along with user mailboxes
>> This software is well supported by all versions of BKF files created using MS backup ntbackup.exe utility and BKF files created Backup Exec by VERITAS software.
