DX Counterpart of glPushAttrib

Recommended Posts

I think the subject itself asks the question. What is the DX counterpart of glPushAttrib() if there is any. second question is in order to draw a line with variable width.. i think i have to use D3DXLine class and i can see there is a function called DrawTransform() which takes a matrix. So i am guessing i have to feed in the following matrix. D3DXMATRIX TransformMatrix = WorldMatrix * ViewMatrix * ProjectionMatrix; Correct me if im wrong

I believe the thing that looks most like PushAttrib to be StateBlocks but I would raccomand to avoid using them as a PushAttrib replacement. You can use it in two ways: recording the vertex/pixel state or recording the state changes you need. Both cases are considerably different from PushAttrib semantics.
