I have been programming OpenGL for years (including shaders) and now i want to learn Direct3D. Is there a book similar to OpenGL's red book (OpenGL Programming Guide)? I have looked into Frank Luna's Introduction to 3D Game Programming and I did not like it very much. For instance, part II (where DirectX actually begins) goes directly to textures and multisampling, which seem like advanced topics when you don't even know how to draw a triangle yet :) Any ideas? PS.: The Forum FAQ has some broken links to Microsoft.

Check the DX SDK Documentation. If you know the basics of computer graphics and programming, it has more than enough information to keep you covered.
