I want to know where I can get a Direct 3D scripter that has the works. Like compiling and so forth. I am using Dev-C++ but it does not support Direct X programming. So what should I do? I know I can't get visual studios 6 because I dont have a credit card or anything... :(

you should be able to use any C++ IDE (including Dev-C++, or the free version of Visual Studio 2005) to write direct3d code.

However first you need to download and install the Direct3D SDK from microsoft.

and also you will need to down load the MicroSoft Platform SDK
Platform SDK: http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/platformsdk/instmsi.htm

Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition:http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/default.aspx
