Directx - Fixing the coordinate axes

I am trying to draw the xyz coordinate exes at a fixed position in the picture box. I am doing the following. 1. Get the world coordinates(x, y, z) at a fixed point on the picture box(xp, yp, zp) using the function D3DXVec3Unproject. However I can get two sets of values(x1,y1,z1 & x2,y2,z2) for zp=near plane and zp=far plane. Which one to choose?. I want the coordinate axes to remain at the same position even when i rotate the model. Is there any other method to draw the axes at a fixed position?
