well i just got boost, but I'm having problems getting it to work. I am using Dev-cpp v9.2, and I have included the boost directory (..\boost) in the compiler's c++ directories and the libs also in the library directory. my problem is that when I try to include the boost random.hpp in any file, it gives me a compiler error like: in file included from math.h:1, boost/random/linear_congruential.hpp no such file or directory .. .. .. and so on and so on, it lists all the files included by random.hpp. what is going on here?

First of all you should check whether these files actually exist on your disk.
Boost 1.33.1 definately contains these files.

Cheers,
Pat

thanks for the reply. I have checked my disk and they are definitely there. I have also tried to install boost from devpacks.org, with the same results.

problem solved! all i had to do was move the header files up one directory so they could find the boost directory.
