Visual Studio 2005
I've hit a snag developing a Windows / DX app using the Enterprise edition. You can't work with resources, which I need to. Is there anyway around this? Or do I need to stop being such a cheap ass and splash the cash on the full blown Standard Edition?
I think you mean the express edition of VS don't you?
I actually don't know any workarounds for your problem.
Getting the standard edition might be the solution.
On the other hand I don't need to use any "ressources" at all. What do you need them for?

You can still modify the resource scripts in a text editor by hand; Express does not include a graphical resource editor.
You can use ResEdit, a really awesome free program for editing resources: http://www.resedit.net/
