I have installed vc express 2005, set up directories under options, and made sure my project settings have correct references to the dx libraries. I'm using C++, not C#. When trying to compile an old project that I have successfully compiled on another computer with vc (not express though), I get the following error:
c:\program files\microsoft directx sdk (august 2006)\include\d3d9.h(40) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'objbase.h': No such file or directory
Engine.cpp
What could be the cause of the problem?

thanks, my old game compiles now, however I still have some problems with the dx SDK samples. But can't look into that now, will make a new post in a week or month or so if I need sdk samples later.
