video card supported resolutions

I am about to buy a new widescreen LCD monitor, and I need to make sure the new Nvidia video card I buy to go with it can support 1680x1050 resolution. The problem is that I can't find a list anywhere showing the resolutions that each of their cards support. I don't necessarily want the latest, greatest thing. In fact, I'd prefer the bare minimum card that can support this resolution with a DVI connection.

Pretty much all of the nvidia cards at this point can support that resolution -- certainly the entire 7xxx and 8xxx series, and even my 6600gt can support that, I think.
IIRC the GeForce4TI4800SE was capable of atleast 2048x1536
Most current cards can handle atleast either up to 2048x1536 or up to 2560x1600 (depends a bit on the card it seems)

Higher end CAD cards can go even further 3840 x 2400 is common for those.

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
Also note that most Nvidia cards support custom resolutions.
when you do something right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
