Quaternion vs Euler Angles

I’m really rusty at this so I do apologize if this is a simple question but would two calls to glRotate() be more efficient than a trying to do a Quaternion rotation? If your in a situation where you need to move an axes 90 degrees or more.

Nope, two rotations, unless you correctly predict the effects, will not be equivalent to using quaternions. If the rotations are variable, and change often, use quaternions.
