Hello everyone! I have game with a top-down view. I'm using 32x32 tiles for the terrain, however there are things that are supposed to be smaller than 32x32, such as thin walls. So what do you guys do in this case? I don't think tiles are very appropriate for this kind of game anyway, more like Pokemon. [grin] Thanks in advance for any ideas!

The pokemon games use tiles.

You have several options.

-Draw the walls on the tiles.
-Make the walls the same width as a tile
-Make the walls separate objects

I would suggest using atleast two layers for your map's. That way you can make the wall 32x32 and make the non-wall part transparent.
If you're using pixel based movment it might look a bit ugly though...
