DirectX SDK Maya Exporter UV problem

I laid out my UVs in the UV Texture Editor in Maya and when I export with the DirectX SDK for Maya 7.0 (which I am running) the UV information is wrong on the mesh. Anyone know any particulars about this device that make it inconsistent with Maya's view and what it is exporting? Thanks! Brandon

SOLVED, I'm a programmer and not an artist though for you programmers who need to get placeholder art in there here is the solution:

After messing with the UV Layout Editor, go do Edit -> Delete by Type -> History in Maya with the mesh selected. Presto! SDK loves it now.
