I was wondering - if you had to pick three essential books that should be on every game developer's shelf, what should they be?

These would be my 3:

Effective C++
Code Complete
C++ for Games Programmers

Although if I had shelf thast could only fit 3 books, I would order a bigger shelf ;). Other books for consideration:

Pragmatic Programmer
Exceptional C++
The C Programming Language
The C++ Programming Language
Design Patterns by Gamma
Game Coding Complete
Thinking in C++
Rapid Development
More Effective C++
Effective STL
