I'm going to be creating a simple 2D "game", that would look something very similar to Warcraft2 or Starcraft or something. But basically just the units really. Anyways, I am not that good in photoshop for this kind of stuff, and creating the units from scratch would be PAIN. So my question is: Does anyone know of some kind of database that I could use of some units or buildings, or anything really, something that someone already created?

One option (which I've used) is this:

Buy Poser or get it with some promotion - they made version 5 freely available a while ago for some reason for a short period of time.

Buy characters and models from Daz3d and render as 2d sprites using one of the orthographic projections in poser (top/front etc) but rotate your character models by the appropriate angle and render the frames as a sequence of TIF images with alpha if you want antialiasing....works well for me.
