Hi, My project is based on RenderWare3.7,but I want to call d3d and d3dx api ,like ID3DXEffect, directly . I don't know how to do this?? I think libs of renderware is built from a old version of dxsdk,so when I call a new version dx function, things go wrong. Is there any way to do this? sorry for my poor English and thanks for your help.

I don't think you're supposed to use any DirectX calls from within Renderware. In my experience it wraps all the functionality you're supposed to use, and if you call DirectX directly things are likely to break.

Unfortunately I don't think you can mix the two. Renderware presumably has its own shader pipeline that you'd need to use.
