Ok so im new to .NET C# and am having a small problem. this works: Queue[] newQueue; newQueue = new Queue[2]; so why wont: Queue<Foo>[] newQueue; newQueue = new Queue<Foo>[2]; I dont really want to get into making a queue of a queue when all I really need is 2 of them by the same name... Can any1 enlighten me on this or why they did not allow this if indeed this is the case? Thanks much, Brad

well its working now, a quick recompile and it worked... I must be falling asleep at the wheel. dont think I changed anything at all, just retyped it in using:

using FooQueue = System.Collections.Generic.Queue<Foo>;

FooQueue[] newFooQueue;
newFooQueue = new FooQueue[2];

same thing just with "using" then changed it back and it worked the same... who knows, I must need a break.

Thanks
