[.net] Smoke effect in MDX

Hello, I have created a simple program which loads several meshes with their textures from a hard disk into one scene. Now I am trying to add a smoke effect to the each of loaded meshes (something like transparent smog). Has anybody any ideas how to do that? Maybe somebody knows some good tutorials on the internet? Thanks in advance.

So where I could find some information (or maybe turorial) about implementing this technique (point sprites)?
