OpenGL Do any books exist specifically for doing 2D graphics in OpenGL?

I'd like to learn more about OpenGL but I only am interested in creating 2D games. Unfortunately, almost everything available on OpenGL relates to 3D programming. I can understand this since OpenGL is primarily used for 3D applications but since it is also widely used for 2D I'm very suprised at the lack of resources. Are there any books on using OpenGL specifically for 2D? ...or any really good websites/articles? I know it's not too hard to learn how to draw lines, polygons, and triangles, but I'd like to learn how to do special effects (glowing lines/objects, etc, etc) Thanks, John

I don't know of any specific material my self because in OpenGL its all 3D, but you simulate 2D by using an orthographic projection on your camera. OpenGL with texture mapped quads as sprites and that works just fine for 2D stuff.

Special effects like glowing can be accomplished by having an alpha mask sprite with the glow effect in front of the object you would like to have glowing. At least thats a very simple way of doing it.
