Question about ODE's dCreatePlane()

Hi, I'm trying to use ODE as the physics engine and using OpenGL to render the visuals, instead of drawstuff. What I'm stuck on - and why I posted here rather than in the Graphics Programming forum - is the dCreatePlane() function in ODE. Apologies to the Moderators if I've posted in the wrong place! The way I've seen it in many examples is:
dCreatePlane(space, 0, 0, 1, 0);
Which if I understand it means that it will create an infinite plane starting from the origin?
