3dsmax XNA trouble

i wasnt quite sure where i shouldpost this but XNA is based of of directx so im hoping someone ran into the same problem. im currently using 3dsmax and im trying to impoirt into XNA but my models always import as a dot (they're really tiny .... or they might just be a dot ><) ive tried everything (units , scaling it as big as it can go, exporting to .x and exporting to .fbx.) nothing seems to work yet people always say panda works like a charm for them ... yeah not for me ><. sorry if this is in the wrong area im just about to tear my hair out . oh also if this helps ive imported it into blender and then exported it as a .x and it works but sadly i have no idea how to texture in blender so it comes into XNA with no textures and its rotations are messed up . thanks in advanced to anyone who can lend some advice.
