Memory footprint tremendously rises from loading hierarchical, xFile

I load in a 6,146k xFile of a player with about 17 Animation sets and has 25 joints. The memory footprint rises about 45 megs after loading this single xFile. Is this expected or am I doing something ridiculously wrong? Brandon [Edited by - codingsolo on May 22, 2007 5:28:24 PM]
