Hello... I am new to this forum and also new to DirectX programming. I am using C#, and I have a question to ask of you. How would I go about setting up a renderable panel component using DirectX in a window form that has several other components? I have experience in openGL and C++, so please, it is setting up a renderable panel using DirectX in C# that I need help with. A good and detailed explanation and/or tutorial/example would be greatly appreciated! :) Thank you...

Are you using MDX or XNA?

I don't know about XNA, but in MDX it's really easy. Just put the panel control in place of the form in the device constructor.

Device = new Direct3D.Device( 0, DeviceType, Form, CreateFlags, PresentParameters );

becomes

Device = new Direct3D.Device( 0, DeviceType, Panel, CreateFlags, PresentParameters );

Make sure you have the PresentParameters.Windowed value set to true.
