Hey, Im trying to record a video of some OpenGL work using the software FRAPS. Im recording at around about 30fps in a full screened window. The video seems to record fine into .avi format, but when playing back the video in WMP i get one of those error reporting service messages. Ive tried VLC and Totem media player on linux but no joy (these play for the duration but produce a blank screen). Im just wondering if i need a codec or something? It mentions that all codecs are installed with the software and it wouldnt cause WMP to crash, just not play if that was the case. If any1 can think of any other reasons why this isnt working or can suggest a better method/software for recording OpenGL to avi then that would be apprechiated. Cheers

Try another codec to create the AVI file. This is not really a GL question so a more general forum is more appropriate.
