In 2D, the term for the "action" of picking an arbitrary point between 2 other points along a Line is Interpolation. For 3D, what is the term for the "action" of picking an arbitrary point between 3 points on a Plane? What is this term called?

Thanks guys!

Sounds like I will stick with just "Interpolation".

Since you are constrained to a "canvas" all I could think of was The "Painting" of Points. (But that term just sounds lame)

From your links I searched more on Trilinear Interpolation, and it sounded more like the arbitrary point was a point picked within a volumetric space like a point in a "cube" instead of a "plane".

Thanks for interpolating your points on this! (lol)
